INTENSE RESILIENCE (2018-2022)
"... Let them be helpless like children because weakness is a great thing and strength is nothing... Hardness and strength are death's companions. Pliancy and weakness are expressions of the freshness of being - because what has hardened will never win."
Tarkovsky, Stalker(1979).
This photo series is called “Intense Resilience” and it is about a long observation of weeds and small plant's life around civilized cities. What takes my attention to these little tiny creatures was how they grow under the severe circumstance between concrete, asphalt and cement. How all kinds of plants are resilient?! While some of their fossils have been found across the world, they are still alive around us. even when we look far from space, everything is hidden between them and what we can see far from here is a blue globe covered by green creatures. what are they and what’s their superpower?
These photo series are taken by a 4 lenses analogue camera and 35 mm film with the use of expired film to keep my project sustainable and simultaneously have a chance of random exposure (most of the time expired film has some marks of exposure)which is one of the fun parts of the work for me during photography.
